2-2 A Child Called "It"

"I turn away from the Rays as a single tear runs down my cheeks... I'm free?"
At the end of the first chapter I stumbled across this quote... It really got to me and it was such a weird feeling at first because I've never really read books like this before. Crazy how things such as a book can make you feel many emotions, scared, confused , sad, happy. The first chapter in itself got me feeling scared for this little boy who's being mistreated by his own mother. I always wonder what it's like for those kids who don't have parents and I think about how awful that is but this book is making me think about how much better it would be not to have such a parent if they mistreat you. I'm lucky enough to say that I have both my parents. To be honest I wouldn't know where I would be without them.

This little boy is finally free, he's learned to put excuses for his mothers beatings, but most of all how to become an expert at lying. He's only 4. Never had a touch of freedom for he only knows what it's like to live inside a closet, do chores, and if he's a 'good boy', gets a taste of food from his brothers leftovers. It breaks my heart to read such a book and have to imagine that someone once went through this, and sometimes I sit here and take what I have for granted , the freedom this little boy did not have.

So it's been a while, and it has also taken a while to find the right book. I am two blogs behind and I don't know where to start. I've been looking to try out different books. Books that are out of my comfort zone you can say. So I've decided to let go of the fiction and horror books and go for one book that caught my attention. I was tierd of looking for the right book I decided to just go online and find one. And so I stumbled upon what I think may be a great book. A child called 'it' is its name and I've never been so excited to read a book before. I find the cover to be one of the things that caught my attention to it other than the prologue it's heart warming yet in a way kind of  sad... I guess it can make people feel all kinds of feelings. I'm really looking forward to this one

So I haven't been blogging on time recently just because I was so close to the end of my book and i was hoping i could finish it by the next blog. Well i did finish my book and let me tell you it wasnt at all that bad. Felt like it took me forever to read but because of the fact that it had long chapters, that led me to read for longer periods of time about 3-5 chapters a day and the book may have had long chapters but there wasn't plenty of them. I learned that there is a type of series for this book so im not sure which number i picked out but which ever one it was, it was pretty good. Although this book is aimed towards more younger kids it wasnt at all that bad. I would compare this book to those of R.L Stines, Goosebump series. So if your a fan of those then i suggest you try out this book im sure you'll enjoy it :-) i cant wait to start a new book maybe i enjoy it much more and i can blog about it more often.
